Ignoring HIM

After 6 months..

Krishav's POV

It's been 6 months since we met. And only my heart knows how I am staying away from her.

For the most part, we communicate via text. We spoke over the phone four or five times in between, and that too I contacted her first because I was so eager to hear her voice.

Though I wish I could hear her voice every day, but I can't. Because if I call her everyday she will feel that I am clingy. And I don't want that, for sure.

She informed me she passed her entrance exam.
I am very proud of her. I knew she would do it.

Well, Right now I'm in my penthouse and checking the files my dad sent me.

Yes, I have commenced the work. I informed my father that I was prepared to begin work as soon as I returned from Udaipur.

Initially, Papa sent me office files so I could review them and correct any faults, because I couldn't go to Pune or Jaipur at this time because I had college.

He has instructed me to offer my suggestions to him at the conclusion of this fiscal year.

My entire day is structured as follows: I go to college first, check the files in the evening to make corrections, and then I talk to her before going to bed.

And this is my favorite part of the day, I promise.

But, Since yesterday, she has not responded to any of my texts. She saw my messages but didn't respond. At first, I assumed she would be busy, so I waited till today, but she hasn't responded.

Then I called rudra, and indirectly questioned him about her because I was now concerned that something might have happened.

He then said that he was joining them all while they played basketball. He gave me a clip of them having fun.

She was smiling at that kabab mein haddi.

Her smile...
I want her to smile at me like that.

But hold on, why isn't she responding to my texts if everything is alright? Have I done something wrong?
No, i haven't.

Then, why?

"Ahhh... brownie I'm getting really frustrated because you're not responding."

"Jaana, please reply to me" I said looking at the screen of my phone which is showing the texts that I sent her.

And then my phone alerts me to Dev's incoming call. I picked up the phone.

" Sun meri baat" he said .

" Suna Teri baat" I said casually going towards my bedroom.

"I'm taking you to the café tomorrow."

" Why? Isn't your girlfriend accompanying you?"

"Arey, I'm taking you to meet her only."

" And why am I supposed to meet her?"

" cause you're my best friend yaar.." he said dramatically.

I huffed and said, " okay, fine I'm coming with you."

" Yeah! That's like my jaaneman"

" Don't call me that." I said before cutting the call.

Yes, five months ago, Dev made a girlfriend. Although we haven't met yet, I've seen her on Dev's Instagram stories.

She looks kind.

Anyway, but, why isn't my girl responding to my texts?

She is not your girl, my subconscious said.

Yet, i replied.

But she'll soon be my girl and I'll be her man.
Though, I'm already her man in my mind.

Should I call him?

Yes, i should call her.

I called her; the phone is ringing, but she is not answering. My thoughts said, "Forgot she's playing basketball; how will she answer your call?"

I guess I should go to bed; I'll talk to her in the morning. But if I don't talk to her, how will I sleep?

Dil pe patthar rakh ke soja Krish, I said to myself.

Then I went to sleep.

Next day
In college,

Right now, we are seated in the canteen. Dev is trying to tell me something, but I can't hear him since I'm focused on certain someone's thoughts.

She didn't pick up when I called her in the morning either. I am aware that she works out early in the morning. She ought to have returned my calls, but she didn't.

"Where are you lost, bhai?" Dev began, jolting me out of my reverie, "I have been trying to tell you something about business for so long and you are not listening."

"Huh" I said looking at him blankly.

"No- nothing" i said as I picked up my bag and started to walk towards the 5th floor for the next class.

"Tell me what happened?" Dev replied, approaching me from behind. "Why do you look so lost?"

" Kaha na kuch nahi" I said getting annoyed by his questions.

"Bhabhi ji phone nahi utha Rahi kya?"

I looked at him in shock and asked " How did you know?"

He smirked and said " You are probably forgetting that I too have a girlfriend. And when she doesn't talk to me, I'm in the same boat."

I make an 'o' face.
We are now strolling together in the direction of the classroom.

I asked him, "Well, how do you convince her?"

"She's not even your girlfriend yet, so why are you getting so restless," he added, grinning at me.

"She's not my girlfriend just yet, but she soon will be. And fill me in on all that has been asked to you."

"Arrogant" he muttered.
" Nahi bata raha, kya kar lega" he said folding his hands, with a smirk on his face.

The class was about to start because the professor had arrived.

" Tujhe toh main dekh lunga" I said diverting my attention towards the books.

" Toh dekho na rish, main toh chahta hoon ki tum mujhe dekho" he said seductively keeping his hand on my shoulder.

I made a disgusting face and looked at his hand first and then at his face. He was trying to control his laugh.

Fucker.

I jerked his hand off my shoulder.

He started laughing out loud.

everyone was looking at both of us including the professor.

I sighed and ignored all of them.

In the evening,

Right now, Dev is forcing me to go with him to the cafe where we are meeting his girlfriend.

My G-wagon came to a stop in front of an exquisite bistro. Dev's father owns this cafe. They have four or five cafés in every state in India as part of their massive chain of cafes.

We exited the vehicle, I gave the security officer the car keys so he could park it in the lot, and we went inside the cafe.

I had been looking around the café when I unexpectedly came across those eyes, which had been making me want to drown in them for a long time.
